新疆农业大学是新疆维吾尔自治区重点建设的一所以农业科学为优势和特色的大学。前身为八一农学院，是经毛主席和中央军委同意，由王震将军于1952年在第二步兵学校的基础上创建，隶属于新疆军区，是新中国成立后新疆建立的第一所本科院校。1958年划归新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府，更名为新疆八一农学院。1995年更名为新疆农业大学。2006年获教育部本科教学工作水平评估“优秀”。2012年入选中西部高校基础能力建设工程高校。　　

建校以来，学校始终坚持社会主义办学方向，贯彻落实“立德树人”根本任务，始终传承“红色基因”，秉承“自力更生、艰苦奋斗”的“南泥湾”精神，始终坚持“屯垦戍边办大学、稳疆兴疆育人才”的办学宗旨，始终坚持“理论联系实际、教学结合生产”的办学方针，形成了本、硕、博完整的人才培养体系。学校现有7个博士后流动站，8个一级学科博士学位授权点，17个一级学科硕士学位授权点，14个硕士专业学位授权点，59个本科专业，分布在农、理、工、经、管、文、法等7个学科门类中。有20个学院，1个教学部，在编教职工1776人，全日制在校生24649人。　　

近五年，学校荣获国家教学成果奖二等奖1项，省部级教学成果奖6项，省部级以上科技成果奖67项,建成国家精品视频公开课4门，先后有37人次获得省部级以上荣誉。围绕现代农牧业、特色林果业、区域发展等领域建有国家、部委重点学科（含培育）4个，自治区级高峰、高原学科7个，省部级研究中心、重点实验室19个。承担科研项目900项，其中国家科技支撑项目22项，到位经费4.1亿元。学校已成为新疆现代农业产业发展、人才培养、科技开发和技术服务的重要支撑。　　

学校本部占地面积约1500亩，校园绿草如茵，铺青叠翠，环境优美，是自治区首批绿色大学，自治区文明单位。此外学校拥有南山实习林场、三坪实践教学基地暨现代农业科技示范园区等7个校外实习基地。　　

学校先后与美国、加拿大、俄罗斯、巴基斯坦等二十多个国家和地区的七十余所大学及研究机构建立合作关系。在巴基斯坦建成的孔子学院成为全球100所示范孔子学院之一。成立“新疆-中亚现代农业科技创新与交流中心”等国际合作平台。与中国农业大学等兄弟院校共同发起成立“丝绸之路沿线国家农业院校联盟”，有力推动了丝绸之路经济带沿线国家农业院校高等教育的共同发展。

新疆农业大学是新疆维吾尔自治区重点建设的一所以农业科学为优势和特色的大学。前身为八一农学院，是经毛主席和中央军委同意，由王震将军于1952年在第二步兵学校的基础上创建，隶属于新疆军区，是新中国成立后新疆建立的第一所本科院校。1958年划归新疆维吾尔自治区人民政府，更名为新疆八一农学院。1995年更名为新疆农业大学。2006年获教育部本科教学工作水平评估“优秀”。2012年入选中西部高校基础能力建设工程高校。　　

建校以来，学校始终坚持社会主义办学方向，贯彻落实“立德树人”根本任务，始终传承“红色基因”，秉承“自力更生、艰苦奋斗”的“南泥湾”精神，始终坚持“屯垦戍边办大学、稳疆兴疆育人才”的办学宗旨，始终坚持“理论联系实际、教学结合生产”的办学方针，形成了本、硕、博完整的人才培养体系。学校现有7个博士后流动站，8个一级学科博士学位授权点，17个一级学科硕士学位授权点，14个硕士专业学位授权点，59个本科专业，分布在农、理、工、经、管、文、法等7个学科门类中。有20个学院，1个教学部，在编教职工1776人，全日制在校生24649人。　　

近五年，学校荣获国家教学成果奖二等奖1项，省部级教学成果奖6项，省部级以上科技成果奖67项,建成国家精品视频公开课4门，先后有37人次获得省部级以上荣誉。围绕现代农牧业、特色林果业、区域发展等领域建有国家、部委重点学科（含培育）4个，自治区级高峰、高原学科7个，省部级研究中心、重点实验室19个。承担科研项目900项，其中国家科技支撑项目22项，到位经费4.1亿元。学校已成为新疆现代农业产业发展、人才培养、科技开发和技术服务的重要支撑。　　

学校本部占地面积约1500亩，校园绿草如茵，铺青叠翠，环境优美，是自治区首批绿色大学，自治区文明单位。此外学校拥有南山实习林场、三坪实践教学基地暨现代农业科技示范园区等7个校外实习基地。　　

学校先后与美国、加拿大、俄罗斯、巴基斯坦等二十多个国家和地区的七十余所大学及研究机构建立合作关系。在巴基斯坦建成的孔子学院成为全球100所示范孔子学院之一。成立“新疆-中亚现代农业科技创新与交流中心”等国际合作平台。与中国农业大学等兄弟院校共同发起成立“丝绸之路沿线国家农业院校联盟”，有力推动了丝绸之路经济带沿线国家农业院校高等教育的共同发展。

学校是伊犁州唯一一所高等职业学校，有西、东、北三个校区。学校坐落在伊宁市北郊，校本部地址为新疆伊宁市胜利路179号。 学校现有在编教职工382人，其中专任教师270人，副高及以上职称的教师63人，中级职称教师137人，“双师型”教师91人，研究生48人，其中博士2人。现有在校生7051人，其中高职4086人，中职2965人。少数民族教师和学生占比分别为65%和89%。 学校是伊犁州唯一一所高等职业学校，有西、东、北三个校区。学校坐落在伊宁市北郊，校本部地址为新疆伊宁市胜利路179号。 学校现有在编教职工382人，其中专任教师270人，副高及以上职称的教师63人，中级职称教师137人，“双师型”教师91人，研究生48人，其中博士2人。现有在校生7051人，其中高职4086人，中职2965人。少数民族教师和学生占比分别为65%和89%。 学院以“品正技强”为引领，始终坚持“以服务为宗旨，以就业为导向，走产学结合发展之路”的职业教育方针，坚持“服务区域经济，培养基层人才”的办学方向。确立了立足伊犁，面向全疆，服务西部的办学服务区域定位。明确了培养生产、建设、管理和服务第一线需要的，掌握就业岗位（群）所需知识、技能、素质的技术技能型人才培养目标的定位。 学院开设有适应伊犁经济发展需要的畜牧兽医、动物防疫与检疫、园艺技术、植物保护、现代设施农业、电气自动化、机电设备维修与管理、物流管理、旅游管理、计算机网络技术等36个高职专业和25个中职专业，构建了以农科为主，以畜牧兽医、园艺技术为特色的专业结构体系。形成了以高等职业技术教育为主，继续教育、各类职业技能培训和鉴定为辅的办学格局。 学院图书馆馆藏图书24万册；建有校内生产性实训基地14个，校外实训基地173个，校外厂中校基地1个；有各类实验（训）室48个，拥有价值2388.95万元的教学仪器和设备；有自治区级特色专业3个（畜牧兽医、园艺技术和植物保护专业）、自治区精品课程6门（养牛及牛病防治、农林有害生物防治技术、养禽及禽病防治、养羊及羊病防治、兽医诊疗技术、动物营养与饲料加工）、自治区级教学团队2个（畜牧兽医、植物保护专业教学团队），国家“万人计划”教学名师1人、农业部教学名师1人、新疆“天山英才工程”高层次人才1人、自治区级教学名师2人、自治区级教学能手2人，自治区享受国务院特殊津贴人员1人，伊犁州拔尖人才2人。 学院是新疆北疆草原畜牧业示范性培训基地（伊犁基地）、伊犁马规范养殖技术培训基地、自治区“三煤”人才培养基地；设有农业部特有工种职业技能鉴定256站和伊犁哈萨克自治州第一职业技能鉴定站，专事职业技能培训和鉴定工作。 学院已走过十五个春秋，凝练成了“以稳疆兴疆、富民固边为己任，以主要培养少数民族高素质技术技能型人才的办学特点”。学院合并成立以来，为伊犁及新疆社会经济建设培养各类人才一万余名，遍布天山南北。多年来，在伊犁州党委和政府的领导和支持下，在各级教育行政主管部门的重视和关怀下，学院快速发展，办学基础设施不断完善，办学实力不断增强，办学质量和水平得到社会认可，享有较高声誉，是自治区农科类职业教育最具实力的院校之一。2008年学院通过国家高职高专人才培养工作水平评估，2014年通过自治区大学生思想政治教育督导评估，并于当年先后被评为自治州“民族团结进步模范单位”和“自治州文明单位”，2015年通过自治区德育“示范校”评估验收，在引领伊犁州职业教育发展中发挥着重要的作用。 学院面向现代农业、新型工业和现代服务业，为伊犁州及新疆经济社会发展服务，发展与伊犁州直支柱产业相适应、比例协调的现代农业类、新型工业类和现代服务类的专业体系，逐步向满足区域经济发展要求的综合性高职院校发展，为社会培养品德优良的高技能人才，努力建成一所疆内一流、国内知名的高职院校。 （1）服务定位：立足伊犁，面向全疆，服务西部。
